Job Summary
Advising a diverse portfolio of clients, the Hawaii Licensed HR Consultant will provide expert guidance on employee relations, compliance with employment law, and workplace investigations in a hybrid or remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Advise clients on employee relations, performance management, and terminations while interpreting Hawaii and federal employment law
- Conduct and support workplace investigations from intake through resolution, managing a diverse caseload with documentation in Salesforce
- Translate complex regulatory guidance into actionable advice for non-HR audiences, partnering with cross-functional teams for proactive support
Required qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in HR compliance guidance, particularly in employee relations and workplace investigations
- Proven ability to advise executives and managers on sensitive employment matters with adaptable communication styles
- Strong command of Hawaii and federal employment laws such as EEOC, ADA, FMLA, and wage and hour regulations
- Experience managing workplace investigations, including those with contested facts and legal exposure
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred but not required
