HCC Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a HCC Coding Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Review medical records and accurately assign ICD-10-CM codes following HCC coding guidelines
• Identify documentation deficiencies and collaborate with providers to improve coding accuracy
• Participate in coding audits and quality reviews, providing feedback and education to peers

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) required
• 2-3 years of experience in medical coding, with at least 1-2 years in HCC coding
• Expert knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding guidelines and HCC risk adjustment models
• Proficiency with EHR systems and coding software
