HCC Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an HCC Coding Specialist (Full Time).

Key Responsibilities

• Review and code patient medical records based on client-specific guidelines and ICD-10-CM Coding Guidelines
• Maintain a quality score of 95% or higher and meet ongoing productivity levels based on project requirements
• Ensure compliance with privacy and security rules while working independently from home

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Minimum of 6 months of retrospective HCC coding experience plus 1 year of additional coding experience
• A valid AAPC or AHIMA coding credential is required (CPC, CRC, COC, RHIT, CCS, or CCS-P)
• Proficiency in Microsoft programs like Excel and Outlook
• Working knowledge of EMRs, billing systems, and abstraction platforms
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment
