HCC Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an HCC Coding Specialist (Part Time).

Key Responsibilities

• Review and code patient medical records based on client-specific guidelines and ICD-10-CM Coding Guidelines
• Maintain a quality score of 95% or higher and meet ongoing productivity levels based on project requirements
• Work remotely, adhering to a flexible schedule of 20-29 hours per week, while ensuring compliance with privacy and security regulations

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of recent retrospective HCC coding experience plus 1 year of additional coding experience
• A valid AAPC or AHIMA coding credential (CPC, CRC, COC, RHIT, CCS, or CCS-P) is required
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Working knowledge of EMRs, billing systems, and abstraction platforms
• Availability for 6-8 weeks of training, including live remote sessions
