Job Summary

Driving Bankrate's search visibility strategy, the full-time Head of AEO/GEO Strategy will define and implement approaches for traditional and AI-generated discovery surfaces, overseeing the SEO team and ensuring measurable audience and revenue growth, with a preference for remote or hybrid candidates working Eastern Standard Time hours.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the AEO/GEO strategy for visibility in AI-generated answers and emerging discovery surfaces
• Lead and develop the existing SEO team, ensuring integration across AEO, GEO, and traditional SEO strategies
• Establish a measurement framework to report on organic traffic and the revenue impact of search channels

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of proven experience in search leadership, specifically in SEO, AEO, and GEO
• Deep understanding of AI-powered answer engines and how to build visibility in generative search
• Strong SEO literacy across technical, content, and authority signals to set effective strategies
• Experience using AI technologies in a professional setting to enhance team capabilities
• Ability to articulate strategies and influence senior leadership effectively
