Job Summary
Leading a team of bids professionals, the full-time Head of Bids will create and manage compelling tenders for transit agencies, overseeing the entire bid process from qualification to submission, while working remotely from Spain.
Key responsibilities
- Lead each bid from qualification through to submission and award, ensuring quality and adherence to deadlines
- Own the pricing and commercial strategy for bids, balancing the likelihood of winning against margin
- Build and develop the bids function, including team processes, content, and the use of AI to enhance efficiency
Required qualifications
- Proven experience in winning high-value, competitive bids
- Familiarity with leading bids or proposals teams, including governance processes
- Ability to develop and explain pricing strategies effectively
- Experience in presenting bid risks and recommendations to senior leadership
- Strong understanding of sales and procurement processes
