Head of Bids

Job Summary

Leading a team of bid professionals, the full-time Head of Bids will manage the creation of compelling tenders for transit agencies, overseeing pricing strategies and governance while collaborating across departments in a fully remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead each bid from qualification through to submission and award, ensuring quality and adherence to deadlines
• Own the pricing and commercial strategy for bids, balancing win likelihood with margin considerations
• Build and develop the bids function, including team processes, content, and AI tools to enhance efficiency

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in winning high-value, competitive bids
• Familiarity with leading bids or proposals teams, including governance processes
• Strong understanding of pricing strategy and its impact on bid success
• Ability to present bid risks to senior leadership confidently
• Experience in managing multiple bids simultaneously while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines
