Job Summary

Owning the data platform and analytics roadmap, the full-time Head of Data will lead a team of analysts to model device, membership, and operational data while partnering with Finance and Product to enhance data-driven decision-making in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and enhance the data platform and analytics roadmap, ensuring robust data modeling for the entire company
• Manage and develop a team of analysts, overseeing their work and improving documentation and rigor
• Collaborate with Finance and Product teams on membership forecasting, retention modeling, and device performance analytics

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering, with a proven track record of building data functions
• Experience leading analysts as a formal manager or player-coach, with a focus on their development
• Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with modern data warehousing and orchestration tools like Databricks and Snowflake
• Strong skills in BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Mode, with a focus on stakeholder needs
• Ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced startup environment, sometimes acting as the sole data resource for specific challenges
