Head of Data and Analytics

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Head of Data and Analytics, this remote role will manage data modeling, architecture, and engineering efforts while serving as a key liaison between business strategy and data operations, ultimately enhancing data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct structured discovery interviews with executives to identify key business questions and translate them into a prioritized data roadmap
• Audit and redesign the existing data model to improve data quality and analytics capabilities, ensuring alignment with organizational needs
• Build and maintain executive dashboards and reporting tools to enable leadership to monitor KPIs and derive insights efficiently

Required qualifications

• 10-15+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data science roles, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead capacity
• Proven experience operating as a founding data team member, managing the full data stack from raw data to executive dashboards
• Deep hands-on proficiency with dbt and modern cloud-based data warehouse solutions (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
• Strong SQL and Python skills, with experience in writing and debugging complex transformation logic
• Demonstrated ability to translate non-technical stakeholder needs into actionable technical roadmaps
