Head of Data Engineering

Job Summary

To support a growing legal technology company, the remote Head of Data Engineering will design and build data warehouse architecture, develop reliable ETL/ELT pipelines, and establish data quality practices while managing the data function over time.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build the data warehouse architecture, including schema design and pipeline orchestration
• Develop and maintain reliable ETL/ELT pipelines that integrate data across core business systems
• Establish data quality, governance, and monitoring practices to ensure accuracy across the data stack

Required qualifications

• Proven experience building a data warehouse and core data infrastructure from scratch at a high-growth SaaS or technology company
• Deep expertise in data engineering, including data modeling and ETL/ELT pipeline design
• Strong proficiency with SQL and modern data stack tools (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, Airflow)
• Experience integrating and modeling data from GTM systems such as CRM and marketing automation platforms
• Demonstrated ability to translate business workflows into durable data models for decision-making
