Head of Data Engineering

Job Summary

Owning the end-to-end architecture of a modern data platform, the full-time Head of Data Engineering will set technical strategy, write code, and lead a small team in a remote environment while driving AI-native capabilities and ensuring significant business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Own platform strategy and execution, including architecture, tooling decisions, and roadmap development
• Drive the design and evolution of an AI-native data platform to support advanced data applications and workflows
• Lead and develop a high-impact engineering team, focusing on skill development and team composition

Required qualifications

• Deep, hands-on experience with Snowflake and DBT
• Proven ability to navigate complex data environments with heterogeneous source systems
• Experience building AI-backed data systems and pipelines for advanced applications
• Strong perspective on data access philosophy advocating for broad availability to business users
• Demonstrated experience in team building and development, with a focus on intentional hiring and growth
