Job Summary

Transforming data-driven strategies, the full-time Head of Data Science will lead the data science initiatives remotely, focusing on optimizing pricing, understanding risk, and leveraging property data to enhance competitive advantages in the homeowners insurance sector.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the data science strategy to drive premium growth and improve customer satisfaction
• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of data scientists and machine learning engineers, fostering a culture of innovation
• Collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional teams to integrate data science across the organization and deliver measurable results

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in data science, applied statistics, or machine learning at the industry level
• Strong technical skills in statistical modeling, A/B testing, and cloud-native AI infrastructure
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, with a track record of building high-performing organizations
• Excellent communication skills for conveying complex technical results to non-technical stakeholders
• Preferred: PhD in a technical discipline and 5+ years of experience in the homeowners insurance industry
