Head of Design

Job Summary

To elevate the design standards of a leading product in short-term rental software, the full-time Head of Design will set the design vision, lead a small team of product designers, and engage in hands-on design work while operating remotely across North America or Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Own and set the overall design vision and quality standards for the product, ensuring intuitive and elegant user interactions
• Develop and maintain the design system, including the design language, style guide, and component library
• Lead a lean design team, providing direct feedback and maintaining high expectations to elevate design quality

Required qualifications

• Proven experience as a design leader in a product-led SaaS company within the last 5 years
• Demonstrated ownership of design direction from discovery to shipped features, with a focus on impact
• Hands-on design experience within the last 3 years, actively contributing to design work
• Strong product thinking and collaboration skills with Product and Engineering leadership
• Familiarity with design tools such as Whimsical and Figma, and experience in the short-term rental or hospitality domain is a plus
