Head of Engineering

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Head of Engineering for a full-time remote position at a stealth startup focused on building an AI-powered identification and commerce platform for the industrial aftermarket, where the individual will lead the engineering team, architect the core platform, and drive product development.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and grow the engineering team while balancing hands-on development with strategic leadership
• Architect the core platform, including data pipelines and AI/ML integration layers
• Design and ship robust integrations with OEM ERP and DMS systems to ingest inventory and product data

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years in software engineering, with 4+ years in leadership roles within early-stage environments
• Strong backend or full-stack development experience, with a hands-on approach
• Proven experience in scaling B2B enterprise SaaS platforms with real-time data pipelines
• Expertise in cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed systems
• Experience with AI/ML platforms and overseeing mobile app product development
