Head of Engineering

Job Summary

The full-time Head of Engineering will oversee engineering operations across three product tribes, ensuring delivery predictability, setting engineering standards, and leading Engineering Managers in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure delivery predictability by owning practices that surface shortfalls early and close gaps effectively
• Set and enforce engineering standards and practices, including code review and feedback loops across tribes
• Manage and develop Engineering Managers, focusing on performance, growth, and hiring across the engineering function

Required qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering, with 3-4 years in an engineering leadership role managing multiple teams
• Proven track record of owning delivery predictability at the function level without estimate-padding
• Hands-on experience in defining and running engineering practices, including SDLC and change management
• Strong people leadership skills with experience in hiring and developing engineering managers
• Solid understanding of backend distributed systems in a regulated environment
