Head of Engineering

Job Summary

Leading the engineering strategy for the Tenant Platform, the full-time Head of Engineering will manage multiple teams to ensure scalable, reliable, and efficient tenant lifecycle orchestration across Atlassian Cloud in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set and execute the engineering vision and technical roadmap for Tenant Platform, aligning with company priorities
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of complex provisioning and lifecycle systems while ensuring operational excellence and fiscal discipline
• Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering organization, fostering a culture of inclusivity and excellence

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in engineering leadership roles, particularly in cloud-based platforms
• Strong background in architectural decision-making and technical strategy development
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving collaboration across departments
• Track record of scaling engineering organizations and attracting top talent
• Familiarity with cost management and operational excellence in a technology environment
