Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Head of Engineering and Product, this founding-team role will manage the launch of MindFriend's mental health platform, ensuring reliability and security while leading a small team in a remote setting aligned with UK/EU hours.

Key responsibilities

• Set and uphold the launch readiness bar, ensuring all technical aspects are met before going live
• Oversee the reliability of live video, audio, and chat sessions, addressing real-world user scenarios
• Lead the engineering and product team, establishing processes for post-launch development and maintenance

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a focus on senior or lead engineering roles
• Proven experience shipping consumer products that handle payments and sensitive personal data
• Background in health-tech, fintech, or similar fields with a strong understanding of security and data privacy
• Ability to conduct security reviews and implement necessary controls independently
• Experience in early-stage or founding teams, with a hands-on approach to leadership
