Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Head of Financial Crimes Compliance, the successful candidate will architect and lead the compliance strategy across BSA/AML, sanctions, and financial crime-related risk in a remote setting, while managing regulatory engagement and building processes for the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement a risk-based BSA/AML and Sanctions Compliance Program, including policies and training
- Serve as the board-appointed BSA and Sanctions Compliance Officer, overseeing program health and reporting
- Manage relationships with regulators, auditors, and financial partners, coordinating exams and compliance monitoring
Required qualifications
- 8-10 years of experience in BSA/AML and sanctions compliance, particularly in payments or crypto sectors
- Expertise in cross-border payments and regulatory remediation or program development
- Experience managing bank and financial partner relationships, including program oversight and reporting
- Deep knowledge of U.S. and international compliance requirements, such as BSA and OFAC
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment with hands-on building experience
