Head of Information Security

Job Summary

Owning the strategy and continuous maturation of OpenZeppelin's Information Security Program, the full-time Head of Information Security will manage a team responsible for security governance, compliance, and the secure adoption of AI, all while operating remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction and risk posture of the Information Security Program, delivering on department OKRs and managing the IT budget
• Oversee the secure adoption of AI, including the evolution of the AI governance framework and compliance with emerging regulations
• Manage the incident response program and ensure security best practices are embedded in the software development lifecycle

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of Security and IT experience, including 3+ years leading an IT Security and GRC function in a high-growth tech company
• Proven trajectory toward CISO with experience presenting to executives and articulating security controls
• Experience securing or governing AI products and applying privacy laws in the AI context
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001
• Background in blockchain or FinTech is a plus
