Head of Infrastructure Engineering

Job Summary

As the first dedicated infrastructure leader, the full-time Head of Infrastructure Engineering will manage Scout's cloud and data infrastructure on Azure, ensuring production-scale reliability and compliance while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage Scout's end-to-end cloud infrastructure, including compute, networking, identity, and storage
• Architect infrastructure to support multi-airline deployments and establish infrastructure-as-code practices
• Lead performance testing and build compliance-ready infrastructure while managing vendor relationships related to cloud costs

Required qualifications

• Significant experience in infrastructure/platform engineering at a senior level, with a focus on end-to-end cloud ownership
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, particularly in compute, networking, identity, and storage
• Strong architecture experience, including leading cloud migrations and designing infrastructure from scratch
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM) and CI/CD practices
• Experience working towards compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 from an infrastructure perspective
