Head of Legal

Job Summary

To support a growing tech company, the full-time Head of Legal will manage end-to-end commercial contracting, oversee privacy and data protection programs, and serve as the legal partner to various departments while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own and streamline commercial contracting processes, including MSAs, order forms, and NDAs
• Establish and manage the company's privacy and data protection program in compliance with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and HIPAA
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Product, and Engineering to facilitate deal closures and product launches while managing risk

Required qualifications

• Experience as an in-house lawyer at a high-growth tech company or as a senior commercial counsel
• Deep expertise in commercial contracts, particularly in enterprise and data-heavy environments
• Fluency in privacy and data protection regulations, including GDPR and CCPA/CPRA
• Ability to operate independently and create legal playbooks and templates
• Strong judgment in assessing and managing legal risks in a fast-paced environment
