Head of Legal
Job Summary
Experienced commercial attorneys will find a full-time remote opportunity as the Head of Legal, responsible for managing the legal function, overseeing commercial contracts, privacy and data matters, and building legal infrastructure to support company growth.
Key responsibilities
- Own the commercial contracting function, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various agreements with enterprise customers
- Draft and negotiate data processing agreements and advise on privacy and data security issues
- Provide legal support on employment matters and manage relationships with outside counsel for specialized legal needs
Required qualifications
- JD from a top law school with active membership in good standing with the bar of at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 5-15 years of legal experience, including at least 3 years in-house with direct ownership of commercial contracting
- Law firm training in technology transactions, commercial contracts, or privacy-related practice areas
- Experience negotiating MSAs, order forms, and multi-year enterprise agreements for a B2B SaaS company
- General employment law experience, including contractor agreements and employee separations
