Head of Liability Underwriting

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Head of Liability Underwriting to lead the launch of a new product line in the non-admitted Agricultural and Commercial Liability market.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the technical underwriting framework for the product
• Grow the portfolio through wholesale broker interactions and internal collaboration
• Build, lead, and coach a high-performing underwriting team as the portfolio expands

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus
• 7+ years of Liability underwriting experience, preferably in Agriculture or related product lines
• Experience managing profitable portfolios, including setting terms and pricing
• Understanding of profit and loss management for liability lines of business
• Professional designations are highly desired but not required
