Head of Security and IT

Job Summary

Leading a team of five, the full-time Head of Security and IT will manage security compliance, oversee identity and access management, and ensure the resilience of the AWS-hosted production environment while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own the SOX/SOC 2 control environment and serve as the primary contact for external auditors and internal assessments
• Oversee the identity and access management program, ensuring least-privilege access is enforced and documented
• Maintain cloud security across the AWS production environment and collaborate with engineering to address security findings

Required qualifications

• 8+ years in security and/or IT leadership, with at least 3 years of direct team management experience
• Hands-on experience in security engineering, security architecture, or identity and access management
• Direct experience with SOX and/or SOC 2 compliance programs and working with external auditors
• Familiarity with modern IAM tools (e.g., Okta) and cloud security platforms (e.g., Wiz)
• Comfortable operating in a fully remote environment and engaging with third-party providers
