Head of Security Engineering

Job Summary

Leading the security engineering strategy with a focus on offensive security, the full-time Head of Security Engineering will operate remotely, managing vulnerabilities and strengthening defenses while mentoring a skilled team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the security engineering strategy with an emphasis on offensive security and red team capabilities
• Identify vulnerabilities across applications, infrastructure, and internal systems, and enhance security processes
• Collaborate with Engineering to integrate security into the software development lifecycle and improve overall security posture

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of security leadership experience
• 10+ years of experience in security engineering
• Strong background in offensive security, including red teaming and penetration testing
• Experience leading Red team, Blue team/SecOps, or Application Security efforts
• Ability to operate strategically while engaging in hands-on technical work
