Head of SMB Methodology

Job Summary

Leading the strategic vision for SMB methodologies and data products, the remote Head of SMB Methodology & Data will manage the development of evaluation frameworks and structured datasets across various business operations while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Own SMB methodology strategy across formation, banking, accounting, payroll, payments, communications, HR, lending, and business operations software
• Define clear, defensible evaluation frameworks that reflect SMB user needs and market realities
• Shape proprietary SMB metrics and structured datasets for rankings and editorial use

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SMB products, services, SaaS, fintech, operations, consulting, analytics, or product management
• Deep understanding of how small businesses evaluate and use products or services
• Experience building analytical frameworks, rating systems, or structured evaluations
• Strong ability to translate complex concepts into clear guidance for non-experts
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and guide collaborative efforts
