Head of Software Engineering

Job Summary

To support a growing technology team, the full-time Head of Software Engineering will define and execute a multi-year technology roadmap, lead and develop the engineering team, and ensure reliable engineering delivery in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a technology roadmap to modernize legacy platforms and align engineering priorities with business strategy
• Lead and develop the engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence and managing performance effectively
• Own engineering delivery, ensuring projects are scoped, executed, and completed to high standards while maintaining CI/CD pipelines and quality gates

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
• 12+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including significant time in a hands-on technical role
• 5+ years of engineering leadership experience with direct management of engineering teams
• Demonstrated experience leading legacy system modernization or technology platform migration efforts
• Strong working knowledge of modern web technologies and experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines
