Head of Technical Program Management

Job Summary

As the Head of Technical Program Management, Banking, the full-time position will oversee the program for Mercury's bank charter and governance work, managing cross-functional teams and directly running select program areas while building and leading a team of TPMs in a remote or onsite capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Own the program for the bank charter and governance work, managing sequencing, dependencies, risks, and decisions across teams
• Define the technical program management operating system, including rituals, tooling, reporting, and standards for cross-functional work
• Build and manage exec-level reporting, synthesizing information into dashboards and narratives to communicate key insights

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of program management, engineering, or product leadership experience, with 3+ years managing TPMs or PMs
• A technical background in engineering, technical program management, or senior product roles
• Experience in regulated industries, preferably in fintech or banking
• A proven track record of building program management functions or operating systems
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence across various levels of the organization
