Job Summary
Supporting the Office of Head Start, the full-time remote Head Start Program Support Specialist will manage discretionary grants, oversee the grant lifecycle, analyze applications and performance data, and ensure compliance with federal requirements while collaborating with various stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the full lifecycle of discretionary grants, including application review and award processing
- Analyze grant applications, budgets, and performance data to ensure compliance and alignment with program goals
- Conduct oversight activities, site visits, and provide regulatory guidance to grant recipients to improve program quality and accountability
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in early childhood education, human services, public administration, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience related to early childhood programs, preferably in Head Start/Early Head Start
- Experience in grants management is preferred
- Proficiency in data management software and ability to analyze and present data effectively
- Knowledge of federal grant guidelines and Head Start Program Performance Standards is a plus
