Health and Human Rights Consultant

Job Summary

To support research and advocacy efforts on health-related human rights violations, a full-time Health and Human Rights Consultant will conduct rigorous research, develop advocacy strategies, and collaborate with various teams, focusing on the Middle East and Africa while working remotely or from the Nairobi office.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate across teams to develop and execute strategies for policy change and accountability
• Conduct research on human rights violations using diverse sources and lead research operations
• Design and implement advocacy strategies, manage partnerships, and produce research materials

Required qualifications

• Graduate degree in medicine, public health, law, international relations, or related fields
• Minimum four years of research/writing experience related to human rights in the Middle East and/or Africa
• Fluency in spoken and written Arabic is desired
• Media/public speaking skills to convey human rights issues effectively
• Expertise in health and human rights preferred, with experience in working with sensitive materials
