Job Summary
To support innovative health and social policies, the Master's-level Health Economist will assist with quantitative research activities, analyze large health-related datasets, and contribute to project management while working either onsite in Durham, North Carolina, or fully remote from an approved U.S. location.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with quantitative research activities including data analysis, statistical modeling, and writing analytic reports
- Analyze large health-related datasets, such as Medicare enrollment and claims data
- Contribute to project management tasks including scheduling and preparing meeting agendas
Required qualifications
- Master's Degree in a quantitative field or a Bachelor's Degree with at least 3 years of relevant work experience
- Experience with statistical programming packages (e.g., Python, R, SAS, SQL, or STATA)
- Interest in health services and/or health economics research
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
