Job Summary

To support the scheduling and pre-visit planning processes, the full-time Health Information Access Specialist will work remotely to collaborate with specialty clinics, optimize workflows for record retrieval, and utilize electronic medical record systems.

Key responsibilities
  • Identify and gather pertinent patient information to assist in scheduling and access processes
  • Streamline workflows for record gathering and prior authorization using electronic medical records
  • Coordinate record retrieval from external providers utilizing EMR functionalities and Access Database
Required qualifications
  • One to three years of experience in release of information activities, patient access, or direct patient care in an electronic setting
  • Experience with electronic medical records, preferably EPIC or Care Everywhere
  • Associate's Degree in Health Information Management, Health Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred
  • Relevant certifications such as RHIT, RHIA, CAHIMS, or CPHIMS are preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline may substitute for years of experience
