Job Summary
To support the Denver Health Nurse Advice Line, the part-time Health Information Aide will manage incoming calls, assist customers by gathering essential information for patient care, and ensure accurate scheduling while working remotely from the Denver Metro Area.
Key responsibilities
- Answers customer calls courteously, utilizing resources to provide accurate call resolution and fulfill requests
- Schedules appointments according to patient needs and provider availability, maintaining adherence to established guidelines
- Gathers and verifies demographic and insurance information for new and existing patients to facilitate billing and patient care
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1-3 years of customer service or healthcare experience required
- Familiarity with healthcare concepts, practices, and procedures
- Knowledge of scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellation processes
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
