Health Information Management Adjunct

Job Summary

To support student learning in Health Information Management, the part-time Adjunct will teach courses either online or in-person at the Virginia Beach campus, providing feedback and engaging with students to enhance their educational experience.

Key responsibilities

• Create a learning environment that facilitates student knowledge and skill acquisition
• Align course activities with learning outcomes and provide timely feedback on assignments
• Deliver instruction and conduct assessments in accordance with college policies and procedures

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or an Associate of Applied Science with national certification and two years of recent occupational experience
• Master's degree in Health Information Management or a related field is preferred
• Experience in didactic and/or clinical instruction in health information management
• Knowledge of teaching strategies that promote student success
• Familiarity with learning management systems like CANVAS
