Health Information Management Analyst

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Health Information Management Analyst will be responsible for the maintenance, analysis, and review of Electronic Medical Records to ensure effective operations and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Utilizes EPIC applications to create, update, verify, and review patient medical records and manage requests for information
• Analyzes and audits clinical documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness, identifying quality issues as necessary
• Prepares, scans, and indexes documents while performing quality audits to maintain data integrity in the document imaging system

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Three (3) years of healthcare-related experience
• Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software applications and Health Information Management procedures
• Ability to pass required skill tests in Medical Terminology, Data Entry, and General Computer proficiency
• Familiarity with medico-legal and regulatory requirements impacting Health Information Management
