Health Information Management Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of HIM Strategy to provide strategic leadership and direction for Health Information Management operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance operational efficiency and productivity within HIM
• Oversee the implementation and optimization of EPIC systems and ensure seamless integration of new applications
• Monitor HIM best practices, operational performance, and compliance with organizational goals and regulations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, other related field, or a Master's in Health Administration (preferred)
• RHIA or RHIT certification (preferred)
• Certificate from EPIC required within 60 days of hire
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in health information management or healthcare operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Experience in HIM document imaging/management is required
