Health Information Management Representative

Job Summary

Serving as the ambassador for the HIM department, the per diem HIM Call Center Representative will provide support for myChart users, assist with medical record requests, and manage payment processing for patient account information in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Effectively communicate the process of obtaining medical records to patients
• Assist myChart users with inquiries regarding the application
• Record all requests and handle payments related to the release of patient information

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of experience in health information management, clinical or hospital business office, or relevant college education
• Associate degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred
• Current enrollment in a CAHIIM approved program is a plus
• Experience with Epic and/or EMR is advantageous
