Health Information Management Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a HIM Specialist, Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze health records for documentation compliance and assist with coding and DNFB encounters
• Perform document imaging functions, including indexing and validation, and support HIM department functions
• Conduct medical record audits and maintain accurate patient identification and demographic data

Required Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED equivalent
• Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or certification-eligible preferred
• Minimum of two years of experience in health information management or related fields
• Experience with electronic medical records is required
• Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to use standard computer systems and software
