Health Information Management Technician

Job Summary

A company is looking for a HIMS Technician to join their Acute Care HIMS Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and preserve confidential electronic health records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Conduct routine releases of health information and analyze electronic health records for deficiencies
• Provide customer service related to HIMS functions and perform document imaging tasks

Required Qualifications

• One or more years of post-high school education in medical records and information systems or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of health information practices and principles
• Strong technical skills in software applications and databases
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems
