Health Information Management Technician

Job Summary

A company is looking for a HIM Tech II.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and review medical charts for completeness in compliance with various standards and regulations
• Ensure proper validation and authorization for release of protected health information
• Convert paper records to optical images while ensuring accuracy and completeness of medical records

Required Qualifications

• High School Education or equivalent AND two years of HIM experience, OR Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or related field
• Eligible to take the Registered Health Information Technicians Examination
• Applicants in the second year of a HIT program or related field may be considered
• Graduate from an accredited program in Health Information Technology is preferred
