Health Information Management Technician

Job Summary

A company is looking for a HIMS Technician to join their Ambulatory HIMS Team remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and preserve confidential electronic health records and perform various HIMS functions
• Conduct routine releases of health information in compliance with policies and regulations
• Provide customer service related to HIMS functions to patients, vendors, and staff

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience with medical records and/or release of information
• Knowledge of health information practices through education or equivalent experience
• Strong technical skills in software applications and databases
• Ability to communicate effectively and prioritize tasks
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and related applications
