Health Information Management Technician

Job Summary

A company is looking for a HIMS Technician.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile, process, and maintain patients' medical records while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Conduct routine releases of health information and analyze electronic health records for completion and deficiencies
• Provide customer service related to HIMS functions and assist with document imaging and quality control

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience with medical records and/or release of information
• Knowledge of health information practices and principles, preferably through post-high school education or equivalent experience
• Strong technical skills in software applications and databases
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
• Knowledge of electronic health record systems and applications utilized by the HIMS department
