A company is looking for a Health Information Privacy Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a Privacy Officer, ensuring compliance with federal and state privacy laws and HIPAA regulations
• Facilitate privacy-related complaints and coordinate thorough investigations with relevant departments
• Educate staff and leadership on HIPAA and state privacy laws through presentations and meetings

Required Qualifications

• Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification required
• Associate degree in health information management or a related field
• Typically requires 2 years of experience in Health Information Management in complex environments
• Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA Privacy laws
• Proficient in electronic health records and Microsoft Office products
