Health Information Specialist

Job Summary

Receiving and processing patient health information requests, the full-time Health Information Specialist will manage patient records, ensure compliance with HIPAA standards, and maintain confidentiality while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Process requests for patient health information in accordance with company policies
• Prepare and maintain patient charts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of medical records
• Safeguard patient records and apply medical privacy regulations to prevent unauthorized disclosures

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with office equipment
• Ability to commute between locations as needed
• Comfortable working overtime during peak seasons when required
