Job Summary
Supporting the secure and timely collection of health records, the full-time Health Information Technician will retrieve medical records, ensure data accuracy, and provide exceptional service to providers and partners in a collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities
- Retrieve medical records through various communication methods and document call outcomes accurately
- Support call center workflows by verifying information and managing escalations to ensure timely retrieval of records
- Perform data entry and tracking of medical record documentation in compliance with HIPAA and internal standards
Required qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in healthcare, medical records, or a call center environment
- Deep understanding of HIPAA, PHI handling, and medical record workflows
- Working knowledge of healthcare technology platforms and reporting tools (e.g., EMRs, call center software, Excel)
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes
