Health Information Technician

Job Summary

A company is looking for a HIM Technician II.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and review various patient charts to ensure compliance with billing and documentation requirements
• Oversee the release of protected health information and ensure proper validation and authorization processes are followed
• Convert paper records to optical images, ensuring accuracy and completeness of medical records

Required Qualifications

• High School Education or equivalent and two years of HIM experience, or an Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or related field
• Applicants in the second year of a Health Information Technology program may be considered
• Preferred: Graduate from an accredited Health Information Technology program
• Preferred: Registered Health Information Technicians (RHIT) certification through AHIMA
