Job Summary

A company is looking for a Health Information Technologyand Medical Specialties Instructor.

Responsibilities:

• Review and manage HIT course assignments, including grading and content coaching
• Provide tutoring and support to HIT program students through various communication methods
• Ensure consistency and fairness in grading exams and provide timely feedback to students

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Technology, Medical Specialties, or a closely related field
• Minimum of 5 years full-time work experience in the area to be taught
• Current employment in the field to be taught
• Knowledge and experience with ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
• Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or similar certification
