Job Summary
To support an engaging learning environment, the part-time Health Information Technology Faculty will teach undergraduate and graduate courses remotely, communicate with students, and serve as a subject matter expert while managing course content and maintaining academic rigor.
Key responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, including hosting live lectures and facilitating discussion boards
- Engage with students through timely communication, outreach, and feedback on assignments
- Assist with curriculum maintenance and address academic integrity concerns as needed
Required qualifications
- Master's or terminal degree in Health Information Technology or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline or five years of relevant experience with applicable credentials from AHIMA
- Experience teaching at the college or university level is preferred
- Strong knowledge of academic processes and computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Blackboard
- Ability to provide own equipment, including a computer, printer, and reliable internet access
