Health Information Technology Specialist

Job Summary

Experienced in healthcare IT, the full-time remote Health Information Technology Senior Specialist will manage IT risk, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations like HIPAA, and lead projects related to healthcare technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage IT risk throughout a formal risk management lifecycle in a healthcare technology environment
• Apply knowledge of healthcare-related regulatory requirements and standards frameworks to ensure compliance
• Lead projects and initiatives independently, focusing on HIPAA risk assessment and healthcare IT compliance solutions

Required qualifications

• High School diploma with 2 years of experience, or an Associate's/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience, or 5 years of applicable experience required
• 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred
• Demonstrated experience with electronic medical records, medical devices, and interoperability
• Deep knowledge of healthcare-related regulatory requirements such as HIPAA and HITRUST
• Understanding of standards frameworks like NIST, ISO, and USCDI
