Health IT Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support the ICE Health Service Corps (IHSC) Health Information Technology Unit, the full-time Health IT Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain secure data pipelines and integration workflows while ensuring compliance with federal regulations in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, validation, and storage
• Optimize data models and schemas to enhance performance for reporting and analytics platforms
• Implement data validation and quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data assets

Required qualifications

• Advanced experience with SQL, relational databases, and data modeling
• Experience in designing ETL/ELT pipelines and scripted development using Python
• Familiarity with cloud-based analytics and data platforms
• Understanding of healthcare or enterprise data environments
• Ability to work within Government oversight and approval processes
